Comprehensive Alzheimer's Dementia Course Requirements.
These are the requirements of the NCCDP comprehensive Alzheimer's and Dementia Seminar. At minimum, you must have completed an 8 hour comprehensive seminar by an approved NCCDP Certified Alzheimer's Dementia Instructor. In some states the trainer may increase the instruction hours to meet the state guidelines. But the seminar can not be taught in less than 8 hours which includes lunch break.
The instructor names are posted on the NCCDP web site. The instructors may be teaching this seminar in collaboration with a local college.
When you submit your application, you must attach a copy of the Alzheimer's Dementia Certificate that was provided to you by the instructor when you attended the seminar.
The certificate must state your name,the course title, date, start time of course and end time of course, location, instructors name and credentials.
The NCCDP approved instructor will supply each student with a NCCDP Hand Out Notebook.
The seminar does not include the Power Point or overheads. The instructors per their contracts with the NCCDP are not allowed to give the student this information. The hand out notebook is comprehensive and covers all the information reviewed in the seminar.
The student should submit the evaluation form that is included in the CDP application. If you do not see the evaluation form you can download the evaluation from the web site.
